About Alec

I've been freelancing for over 20 years, selling landscapes, outdoor leisure and garden images to publishers in the UK and abroad with the results appearing in books, newspapers and magazines. In addition, my exhibition of countryside scenes has toured Cheshire.

My interest in photography started when out and about in the mountains: rock-climbing, hill-walking and backpacking. I started with an Olympus OM 1, the lightest SLR of its time, supplemented by various medium format cameras, with my own darkroom to produce black and white, and later, Cibachrome, prints. Now I've moved from film to digital, and from the darkroom to the computer.
